A private Chinese company has launched a rocket by mistake during a test. This unfortunate incident happened on Sunday, 30tg June, 2024.
A space rocket owned by a private Chinese company accidentally launched itself during a test on Sunday, before crash landing into a hillside.
There have been a video on social media showing the rocket falling back to earth while exploding in the Chinese Henan province.
Owners of the rocket, a Chinese company named Tianbing Technology have issued a statement saying that there was a structural failure at the connection between the rocket body and the test bench, and this caused the rocket to take off.
The statement further expressed that the onboard computer automatically went off causing the rocket to fall deep into a mountain, 1.5km southwest of the test bench.
It was noted that no casualties were recorded.
The rocket named Tianlong-3 is designed and manufactured in Chinese and was intended to be a rocket that could be reusable.
