ANTONIO GUTERRES TO VISIT PUTIN AND ZELENSKY FOR PEACE TALKS

United Nations Secretary General ANTONIO GUTERRES will visit Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky next week for peace talks.

The United Nations Secretary General ANTONIO GUTERRES believe the only way the war between Russia and Ukraine will come to an end is through dialogue. And he want both leaders to come back to the negotiating table.

There have been several meetings between Russian delegates and that of Ukraine for peace talks. The very first meeting they had in Belarus was not successful.

The United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres in a tweet said “next week”, he “will meet with President Vladimir Putin in Russia and President Volodymyr Zelensky in Ukraine”.

According to him, the world “need urgent steps to save lives, end the human suffering and bring about peace in Ukraine” he said

Mr. Antonio Guterres will be the second leader to visit Putin for talks since the war begun. Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehhammer was the first European leader to visit Vladimir Putin in Russia on April 11. Mr Karl visited Ukrainian capital Kyiv on April 9 and later decided to visit Russia as well.
