Apple cuts supply of iPhone 13 on reports of chip shortages

Reports that Apple is unable to get enough parts to be able to reach its manufacturing goals. Apple was initially going to produce 90 million iPhones in 2021 by the end of December but had to cut that number by 10 million units which is just 11 percent of the initial 90 million due to issues with chips from Broadcom and Texas according Bloomberg.

Chief Executive Officer for Apple, Tim Cook had already raised concerns of chip supply issues. “We will do everything we can to mitigate whatever set of circumstances we’re dealt” but efforts to secure more chips proved futile.
