Bantams SDA Primary Headmaster shot dead by armed robbers
Headmaster of Bantama SDA Primary school in Sene west District in one of Ghana’s newly created Regions, Bono East has been shot and killed on the spot by ‘suspected armed robbers on the Bantama kwame Danso road’ according to Myjoyonline.
Elijah Asante, former Headmaster of the school was shot and killed and the spot on his way home from an ongoing workshop. Mr Asante was one of the enumerators for the 2021 population and housing census.
Brother of Elijah told JoyNews his brother was stopped when the robbers asked some passengers from another vehicle to lie down.
He was on a motorbike, so they stopped him too. After stopping him, we were not there but we heard that there was a gunshot and one person was dead his brother said sorrowfully
He therefore appealed to Ghana government to to bring mrw security persons to the district to help curb crime activities in the area
We’re appealing to the government to also bring more police and security in the district so the teachers in the villages can be protected from these case, especially those still doing the course
