Belarus officially joins Russian troops in Ukraine according to Lukashenko
President of Belarus Lukashenko is a close Putin ally
President of Belarus Lukashenko has announced that Belarusian troops will join Russia in Ukraine. Lukashenko and Russian President Vladimir Putin have been close allies over the years.
What is happening in Ukraine

Lukashenko claims Ukraine is preparing to attack his country. They’ve accused Ukraine of “blowing up” border bridges and railways, and shooting at border guards.
According to the President, “at least 5 Belarusian Brigades totalling 10,000men will be deployed initially” he said.
The President also claimed his country is being defensive as NATO plans to attack them. “This is purely defensive as NATO plans to attack us. This won’t happen”
