United States President, Joe Biden tweeted about 49 minutes ago to confirm it. According to him, he gave the order and directions for his killing.

“Last night at my direction. U.S military forces successfully undertook a counterterrorism operation. Thanks to the bravery of our Armed Forces. We have removed from the battle field Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurashi, the leader of ISIS” the President posted.

A senior U.S government official said al-Qurashi died at the beginning of the operation when he exploded a bomb that killed himself and his own family members. Among them were woman and little children.
