British government has frozen all assets of Roman Abramovich including Chelsea Football Club
The Chelsea owner who puts the club for sale can no more do so. Several bids have been made from billionaires across the world to purchase the club but all that is in limbo now.
These are some of the things the club can do and cannot do
All new contracts including sales and buying of players have been prohibited.
Mr. Roman Abramovich who is a Russian is said to be a close ally to President Putin of Russia who has invaded Ukraine with Russian troops. He’s said to have a ‘father like’ relationship with him. Just last week Roman Abramovich was part of the officials who went to Belarus for peace talks.
Several UK lawmakers have raised concerns why his assets are still allowed to run when his name popped up as one of the oligarchs.
