It was a tough battle between the English team and Palmeiras. They played a zero zero game at first half but Romelu Lukaku’s header gave Chelsea a lead at the 50th minute of second half.
A very sharp cross from Hudson Odoi finds Lukaku in the box, heading it straight to the back of the goal post. But it became more dramatic after Thiago Silva faulted in Chelsea’s 28yard, given Palmeiras a penalty. Both clubs were on level terms until the very last minutes of extra time.

Cezar, captain for the blues gave a shot in the 18 box but fortunately for Chelsea and unfortunately for Palmeiras, the ball hit one of Palmeiras defender’s hands, which called for a penalty.
Kai Havertz, the man who scored the only goal for Chelsea to win the champions league stepped up again. His penalty kick to the left sent the Palmeiras goalkeeper to the right, to make it 2-1.
This just another huge win for Thomas Tuchel and the whole Chelsea team. Congratulations to them.
