Elon Musk hours ago said Dogecoin could now be used to purchase Tesla products. The Chief Executive Officer said on his twitter page. “Tesla merch buyable Dogecoin”
Dogecoin has since shot up hours after his announcement. The coin has since seen massive boost just four hours it was announced.
A lot of people have been using Dogecoin for transactions even before the announcement. But number of people using the coin for transactions even went up more after Musk’s announcement.

The memes cryptocurrency when up 14% in 24 hours Friday night according to prices from Coinmarketcap. Elon musk heavily endorsed the meme coin last year, telling social media users to patronise it. He also announced somewhere last year that Tesla was likely to start accepting the coin.
The CEO said on twitter in 2021 that doge was the ‘people’s cryptocurrency’, making it rise to nearly $4,000.
