Drogba’s advice to Lukaku came immediately after the match when celebrations were ongoing. He praised Lukaku on his goal and his general performance. He also admit the striker is having a difficult time but can still pull himself together and become a Chelsea hero like him because he’s a goalscoring machine.
“I hope he learned from me. He’s a goalscorer. He’s having a difficult moment. His goalscoring record is unbelievable. Can he believe in himself more?. I think this goal will help him alot. Is it a turning point?. Yes, I hope. We all hope for that because it is important for the club” Drogba said.
Romelu Lukaku has been criticized for his utterances late last year.

Didier Drogba also want him to accept every criticism and think of what he can do to improve everyday. He also told Lukaku he was criticized during his time at Chelsea but he doesn’t let things get to him. He will go home, reflect on them and try his best to improve.
“As a big player you have to accept the criticism. You need to go home and think about how you can improve your game. How can you bring something else to the team. That’s what he is doing. That’s what I was doing when I was playing”
