Elon Musk confirms Twitter employees sold verification before he took over
The billionaire confirmed Twitter Blue badge were been sold on the low before he took over last month
Twitter owner Elon Musk has revealed how some employees were selling the apps Blue badge. He revealed this in a post after one twitter user emphasized it, and he replied the user. Now you have to buy Twitter verification as a tool to bring sanity and generate.
There were several controversies surrounding the company before his acquisition. Elon also confirmed the giant social media platform was constantly losing revenue and not meeting targets but believe he can turn the fortunes of the company around, something he’s currently doing.
“Twitter employees were selling verification for upwards of $15,000 for certain accounts, mine included. They would refuse to verify you through the standard application and then privately offer to verify you for $$ behind the scenes” one account @WSBChairman tweeted. Minutes after, Elon agreed by replying with “yup”.
His response triggered lots of conversations, with many now identifying and clearing knowing the loopholes of Twitter. Some say the company was very corrupt, and was losing it. But now the Tesla boss expected to bring some sanity going forward.
