Elon Musk respond to WFP, says he would give $6 billion if they tell him how the money would solve world hunger.
Days after World Food Programme under United Nations said 2% of Elon Musk ‘s net worth could solve world hunger, Elon tweeted saying he’s willing to give away that money “if WFP can describe on this twitter thread exactly how $6b will solve world hunger” he said.
Chief of the organisation David Beasley had earlier emphasized that just 2% of his nearly 300 billion net worth could solve world hunger. Elon Musk $36 billion richer after Hertz order 100,000 Tesla vehicles, making the electric car maker hit $1 trillion market cap
Replying him, David Beasley revealed the headline wasn’t accurate but. “$6b will not solve world hunger, but it will prevent geopolitical instability, mass migration and save 42 million people on the brink of starvation. An unprecedented crisis and a perfect storm due to covid/climate crisis” he said
He continued, detailing how his support could help bring hope, build stability and change the world.
“with your help we can bring hope, build stability and change the future. Let’s talk; it isn’t as complicated as Falcon Heavy, but too much at stake to not at least have a conversation. I can be on the next flight to you. Throw me out if you don’t like what you hear”
