Elon Musk is reportedly planning to cut Twitter’s workforce by half according to reports
World richest man and owner of Twitter Elon Musk is reportedly planning to cut the number of employees in half. This development followed just days after his takeover of the social media platform.
There have been earlier reports of the billionaire laying off workers when the deal finally goes through but he denied claims, saying he does not have that intentions but this latest report could just prove otherwise. According to the report, Elon Musk is planning to expel about 3,700 of Twitter’s workforce which is nearly half of Twitter workforce. The move is expected to cut down costs while they look for more innovative ways to generate income to keep the company running.
Twitter is already working to charge a minimum subscription fee of$8 per month for its blue badge.

Some top level staffers, including the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Parag Agrawal have all been fired. The report said employees were either added or spared from the layoffs lists based on their performance over their stay at the company. Twitter staff have already been told to work 84 hours weekly after the takeover. It has also been revealed that top managers of the company slept over last weekend as “scramble to meet Elon Musk’s tight deadlines”
