Opening the World Leaders Summit in Glasgow, Antonio Guterres warned World leaders it was time to be action oriented. According to him, Chidren and the next generation will not take it likely with them if they fail to preserve and protect mother earth.

“The sirens are sounding. We’re digging our own graves. Our planet is telling us something, and so are people everywhere. We must listen, we must act, and we must choose wisely. Choose to safeguard our future and save humanity” he said

According to Antonio Guterres, humanity has become so addited to fossil fuels and this grave action is pushing humanity to the brink, and the only way forward is to rethink and change our ways.

“Our addiction to fossil fuels is pushing humanity to the brink. We face a stark choice, either we stop it or it stops us. It is time to say enough.

Enough of brutalizing biodiversity, enough of killing ourselves with carbon, enough of treating nature like a toilet, enough of burning and drilling and mining our way deeper” he emphasized
