Minister for Defence, Hon Dominic Nitiwul has dared Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong to be bold enough to come forward with names of government officials involve in illegal mining, what is locally called galamsay in Ghana.
Answering questions in regards to how Kennedy Agyapong announced on national television of how he knows top officials doing galamsay and the only way Nana Akufo-Addo can succeed is for them to be exposed and shamed, the Defence minister challenged him to be brave enough to mention names.
There are top officials engaging in galamsay and the only way the President can win this fight is to expose them. Nana Akufo-Addo has suffered enough, he’s doing everything possible to fight the menace but it is not achievable if this top officials are not mentioned and shamed. Hon. Kennedy Agyapong noted
Answering a question from a JoyNews reporter, Mr Nitiwul challenged Kennedy to come forward with the list.
I am calling on him to bring any list out. To name any government official involve. As individuals, we must be willing to expose anyone in such activities and if the president knows today me Dominic I’m into galamsay, he’s suck me. So if anyone as individual Ghanaian knows any information in that regard, that person should come forward. In fact that person will just be doing a great job for Ghana. Mr Nitiwul revealed
According to him the military has done a great job and will continue to work hard to halt the activities of galamsayers.
