Mr. Oliver Barker Vormawor posted on Facebook that Ghana Army is a “useless army”. His comments followed when majority member of Parliament of Ghana was presented with E-levy cake to mark his birthday. There is a debate going on in Ghana about a new tax (electronic tax) the ruling government (NNP) want to implement. The government’s decision has caused public uproar amongst citizens. While some believe the 1.7% e-levy tax will rather make Ghanaians poorer, some say its in the right direction.

Finance Minister of Ghana, Ken Ofori Atta had earlier said the Akufo-Addo led government will not be going to the IMF so the tax is the only option.
