Member of Parliament of Ghana for Assin North, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong revealed Ghana Football Association, GFA knocked his door for help. According to the maverick MP, the GFA came to hime to convince ‘the boys’ to play for Ghana Black Stars. But all of them rejected his plea, raising concerns about the media.

There have been countless media reportage of young Ghanaians playing out side the country not willing to play for the senior team. But details given by Kennedy Agyapong reveals there is more to what most of these youngsters have been saying. Speaking on GTV Breakfast Show, the Assin North MP bravery said the boys were not willing to play because of Ghana media. The boys said they will not because looking at the way some former players like Asamoah Gyan were chastised, they will rather stay at their clubs than play for Ghana.

“GFA, they came to me to convince the boys to play for Ghana because I’m very close to the boys to them. They said no. They said I don’t want to go and make a mistake like Asamoah Gyan. The way Ghanaians will chastise me” watch video below
