Ghana gov’t allegedly directs Metro TV to expel Bridget Otoo because of her affiliation to NDC

Government of Ghana has allegedly directs Metro TV to expel newscaster, Bridget Otoo for joining the media network.

“I received an offer and I couldn’t refuse and now here we are at Metro TV, my new home. They absolutely love my unique and authentic perspective and I plan to make every second of it count” she tweeted, accepting her new offer, thanking the managing director of Metro TV, Mr Kayode Akintemi.

Now reports reaching News247gh.com has it that, the government wants her out of her new job because she’s affiliated to Ghana’s biggest opposition party, The National Democratic Congress, NDC.

Bridget Otoo couldn’t show up on set tonight to host the ‘News Night’ bulletin between 7pm to 8pm every night. This development got many people talking including members of the NDC party, alleging that the ruling party, NPP wants her to be expelled by the gaint media house.

“Are you wondering why Briget Otoo didn’t show up on NewsNight at 7pm, Akufo-Addo – Bawumia NPP government have instructed the owners of Metro TV to sack her with immediate effect because she bashes them” one Annan Arhin wrote on his twitter page
