There are reports circulating that one Ghanaian, Yaw Owusuhas lost his life as a resultofof heated argumenthe had with his apprentice after Ghana vs SouthAfrica WorldCupqualifiermatch but Ghana High Commission says its fake news. Ghana Black Stars won the match against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana after the referee officiating the match awarded Ghana a penalty. South Africa Football Association, SAFA has since petitioned Fifa to investigate the match. Authorities of SAFA said the match had investigate compromised. A statement released by Ghana High Commission in South Africa debunked the claims, saying it lack merit.
“The mission wishes to take this opportunity to inform all Ghanaians that after an exclusive investigation into the matter, including discussion with Mr. Obeng Boadi, the information making rounds has been found to be fake and without merit. Ghanaians are therefore being advised to go about their daily duties without fear. However, they should act with circumspect by avoiding unnecessary arguments in areas where sentiments and tensions are high as a result of the outcome of the match” the Commission released minutes ago
SAFA said the case has been reported to Fifa and its been reviewed. Captain of Black Stars, scored the only goal in the match, sending them to the play-offs Andre Ayew awarded on 100th appearance for Black Stars
