Ghana Police declares Dancehall Artiste, Shatta Wale missing after alleged gunshots

There have been rumours circulating on social media of Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known in showbiz as Shatta Wale being shot at Accra, East Legon on Monday October 18 in the evening.

His Public Assistant broke the news on his twitter page, saying the Artiste had been shot in front of him.

“Right now in front of me at East Legon you did this to Shatta Wale oh my God” he posted on his twitter page.

Nana Dope also posted on to his WhatsApp status that the Dancehall Artiste had been shot, noting the reggae dancehall artiste is in good health and recovering at the hospital.

Ghana Police revealed they have searched and continue to search for Shatta Wale.

“On hearing the news, the police launched an investigation into the matter including making contacts with some of his close friends and family members and all of them claim not to have knowledge of his whereabout or any alleged incident” a statement from Ghana police detailed

The police is therefore calling on the public to assist to find him while they continue with their investigations.

“whilst we continue our investigations, the police is appealing to the public to provide any information concerning the whereabouts of Shatta Wale to the numbers 18555, 191 and 0302773906”

Months ago, a man of God, Bishop Stephen Akwasi said Shatta Wale would be shot in an attack. He said he would be shot like how reggae musician, Lucky Dube was shot in South Africa in 2007.
