Ghana’s finance minister, Ken Ofori Atta presents $28m loan agreement for MPs to buy cars

Ghana’s finance minister, Hon. Ken Ofori Atta has presented a loan agreement of $28million to parliament for approval, for the purchase of 275 vehicles for members of parliament.

In this regard, every member of parliament is expected to receive not less than $100,000 for the purchase of a vehicle.

The papers supporting the loan agreement presented to parliament spells out National Investment Bank, NIB to be the principal financial source. Financial committee in parliament is expected to consider those documents presented by the financial minister and later deliver a report to the house.
