Gunmen kill wife of GNPC boss driver in Kumasi
Benedicta Abena Pokua, wife of GNPC boss driver was killed by gunmen in Kumasi. She suffered severed gun wounds and was rushed to Konfo Anokye Hospital but unfortunately lost her life. She was attacked by assailants while on a convoy with her husband at a spot very close to Airport Roundabout according to JoyNews.
According to her husband, Nana Agyemang Prempeh, the gunmen crisscrossed his wife’s Range Rover before shooting her.
“It is true my wife has been shot dead. But the incident happened in my car. We were travelling together but in separate vehicles. My vehicle was first to be attacked. The incident occurred at about 11:49 pm. All of a sudden, I saw this car driving recklessly, crisscrossing my wife’s vehicle. I saw another vehicle hit the passenger side of my vehicle. Whilst I remained in the car, I quickly called the police. They responded swiftly and came to the scene within a spate of four minutes.” He said with sorrow.
He continued “After talking for a while, some people around pleaded for leniency for the guys because they were appeared drunk. Few minutes after the police had left with the suspects, we drove off”
There have been countless reports of insecurity in Kumasi and some areas in Ghana and in recent times.
