Hailey Baldwin has revealed that she had a stroke the same moment Justin Bieber experienced facial paralysis shortly after she was hospitalized.

During a recent interview with Good Morning America, the 25-year-old model told how she and her 28-year-old husband had a stroke within a few months of each other, as she was hospitalized last March and had a surgery done to close a hole in her heart.

According Hailey Baldwin, their experiences allowed them to both be upfront about what is happening in their lives particularly since their story were publicized.

“Going through it very publicly, in front of a lot of people,” she told “It kind of, in a way, forces you to have to be upfront about what’s going on, so people understand what you’re going through. And I actually think it opened up a lot of important and amazing conversation.”

Baldwin also admitted how there was a good thing to her and Bieber’s health challenges, as it made them much closer together.

“Going through this together, you’re being there for each other and supporting each other and there’s just something that really bonds you through these times,” she disclosed. “So that’s what I think is the silver lining in these crazy times.”

Talking about her recovery, she revealed that she was doing much better but it took her some time to feel good again.

“I’m just giving my body the time to heal and recover,” she says. “It was a little hard for me to recover from the procedure, just giving myself the time to work out again and feel like normal.”

“But I’m doing well now,” she added. “And I’m not going to be on any medication anymore, so I feel good.”

Hailey also said that Justin Bieber is currently doing fine after he recently disclosed that he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome.

“He is getting better every single day,” she clarified. “He’s feeling a lot better. And obviously, it was just a very scary, random situation to happen, but he’s going to be totally OK.”
