Romelu Lukaku who left Inter Milan last season to Chelsea made some controversial statements about the club. This happened after Lukaku granted English Sports News outlet, Sky Sports an interview.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Lukaku pledged his allegiance to his former team, citing that he had wanted to stay at Italy but they couldn’t meet his financial demands. Read more here

“It has been quite hectic few days I think. But the last few days I play and do my best. I try to help the team win. I think I totally understand. I should have been more clear with my message. The interview was about saying goodbye to Inter fans, it was not about trying to disrespect the fans and the football club, my team mates, the manager group of staffs. They did a lot of effort to bring me here and I want to come back here. I was on a mission since I left. I came here when I was 18 and it didn’t go well. And I’m back at 28. I can’t really mess this up, I really worked hard in the past 10years of my career to get this opportunity and I’m happy to be here.

Speaking to news outlets, his coach Thomas Tuchel said the striker still has future in the club going forward. He noted that, he cannot predict the future but he believes Lukaku has dreams, ambitions and target to meet, and he thinks he’s going to make things better for himself.
