The International Criminal Court is considering a possible investigation into the recent offensive against the Ukrainian people.
President Zelensky of Ukraine had earlier said he was taking the case to the Hague.

“Ukraine has submitted its application against Russia to the ICJ. Russia must be held accountable for manipulating the notion of genocide to justify aggression. We request an urgent decision ordering Russia to cease military activity now and expect trials to start next week” Volodymyr Zelensky tweeted two days ago.
Now, the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court in the Hague has announced that he would launch an investigation into possible war crimes against humanity in Ukraine.
Khan who is a British Lawyer said “I have already tasked my team to explore all evidence preservation opportunities which would allow us to actively and immediately proceed with the office’s independent and objective investigations”

Other actors also have keen interest in what’s going on in Ukraine.
“We’ve been working issues related to accountability using open source evidence for a long time, we’re very familiar with the need of stakeholders like the ICC. Our goal would then be to make that data available to any accountability process that want to use it. We aim to have at a minimum date and geolocation data, and then work to add other data, such as the type of violation documented, munitions featured in videos etc.” Higgins said.
