Iraq confirms arrest of top ISIS financier, Sami Jasim who was Deputy of slain ISIS leader, Baghdadi.

The Iraqi Government has confirmed the arrest of a high ranking member of ISIS, Sami Jasim. The Government revealed Jasim is the one in charge of the terrorists group’s finance and the deputy of slain ISIS leader, Abu Bakr al Baghdadi. Baghdadi was killed late 2019 by American soldiers in Afghanistan.

Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi posted on his twitter page on Monday, October 11.

“At a time when the eyes of our heroes in the security forces were vigilant to protect the elections, their authentic aim in the intelligence service was carrying out one of the most difficult intelligence operations outside the borders to arrest the so-called Sami Jasim, the financial supervisor of ISIS and the Deputy of the graveyard Abu Bakr al Baghdadi” he tweeted.

While our ISF heroes focused on securing the elections, their INIS colleagues were conducting a complex external operation to capture Sami Jasim, who was in charge of Daesh finance, and a deputy of Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi.
