Italian government grants Senegalese TikToker Khaby Lame citizenship over the weekend

Khaby Lame is officially Italian going forward. Khaby Lame who recently became the highest number of followers on TIKTOK was granted citizenship by Italian government.

Khaby Lame whose parents left Senegal when he was just a year old for greener pastures has lived in the European country at age one till now. He became a global meme and a household name in Italy after his videos went viral during the pandemic.

The official ceremony took place in his home town, Chivasso Metropolitan City of Turin, in the Italian region of Piedmont.
