Jub Jub apologies to Amanda Du-Point for raping her
Famous South African actress, Amanda Du-Point reportedly claimed that singer and media personality, Jub Jub earlier admitted to raping her and asked for forgiveness.
It was reported that they had spotted Amanda Du-Point’s criminal case statement against Jub Jub for allegedly raping her at the Brixton police station.

According to Amanda Du-Point’s statement, it revealed that Jub Jub made a call to her through a mediator after he was released from jail for blameworthy homicide in 2017. Amanda Du-Point and Jub Jub later met and the singer reportedly apologized to her.
The statement reads:
“I met with him [Maarohanye], and asked him if he knew or acknowledged he had raped me. He said yes. I asked him why he raped me and all he could say was that he was sorry.”
According to a police spokesman, Mavela Masondo revealed that a rape case was opened on February 10, he was not at right to talk about the matter or share any details of the suspect as the matter was being investigated.
“There is a rape case opened on February 10 and it’ is under investigation. No arrests have been made so far.”
“This thing was built on transparency, honesty, authenticity, we’ve always been honest to our chillers, so why can’t we (do it) this time?”
In December 2021, following the singer’s statement concerning his relationship with Amanda during an interview with MacG on Podcast and Chill, the actress disclosed in a 17m long video that Jub Jub reportedly raped her several times for two years when they were together.
Amanda said:
“I was raped and physically abused by Jub Jub. The only thing I did wrong was keep quiet.”
Later the singer took to his Instagram page to tender an apology to Amanda but denied raping her.
“In the aftermath of the release of my interview with Mac G, I have taken some time to rewatch the interview and reflect on my words, specifically my exchange with Mac G regarding Ms Amanda Du-Pont.
“It was inappropriate for me to discuss the intimate details of my relationship with Ms Du-Pont in public. I deeply regret the incident. I wish to apologise unreservedly to Amanda for the humiliation and hurt I caused her,” he said.
