Leader of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau has killed himself after he was cornered by ISIS rivals
The leader of Nigerian militant group, Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau has killed himself according to the ISWAP.
In an audio recording, the group confirmed the death of the Abubakar Shekau who has led the boko haram more than 10 years. He blew himself up when cornered by ISIS rivals.
Leading the terrorist Organization, Abubakar killed tens of thousands and also kidnapped lots of innocent souls. According to Reuters, he was cornered after a gun battle and offered a chance to repent and join his rivals but instead blew up himself by detonating an explosive device, the wire service said, citing Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP) recording.
Leader of the river group, Abu Musab said God has judged him, revealing in the audio how he died.
‘Shekau preferred to be humiliated in the afterlife than getting humiliated on earth, and he killed himself instantly by detonating an explosive’ Al- Barnawi revealed in the audio.
Abubakar Shekau killed over 30000 and forced around 2million people to flee from their homes, rendering many homeless and displaced.
He led Boko haram since 201, with America making him a Special Designated Global Terrorist by putting a $7million bounty on his head.
