Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to his first premier league club, Manchester United at a transfer fee of £19 million. The club announced his signing on Friday, August 27, 2021.
The announcement has gained million of likes on Twitter and Instagram. It is said that the five-time balon d’or winner’s announcement is the most liked tweet of a sports club.
Ronaldo was a Juventus forward but left the club on undisclosed reasons. His Juventus teammates have wished him well in his new adventure.
Prior to Ronaldo’s move to Manchester United, Patrice Evra was one of the many United players who convinced the five-time champions league winner to choose the Red Devils over any other club.

In a WhatsApp chat that was uploaded by Evra on his Twitter handle indicated that the United legend was in talks with Ronaldo concerning his move to United. The chat clearly showed that Ronaldo already made up his mind to move to his first premier league club.
Manchester United and Manchester City were the notable English clubs interested in Ronaldo. However, City pulled out after United interest became tense. It is also said that Ronaldo’s agent, Jorges Mendes approached Chelsea but the Blues were not interested.
The 36-year-old’s transfer has gained much media attention as compared to his rival Leo Messi. Ronaldo is set to pass medical test and then be recognized as United player once again.
On the other hand, the football community are looking forward to seeing the Portuguese forward snatch the number seven jersey from El Matador. However, we do not know whether such a thing will occur.
Messi lovers have advised Ronald to wear his first jersey number and leave the number 7 jersey to Cavani. Since the leading goal scorer of the champions league is yet to be registered as a United player, we hope to see him in any jersey number.
