Lionel Messi will not return to FC Barcelona according to the football club

According to the club, Messi would not return to the club because of financial constraints.
“Despite FC Barcelona and Lionel Messi having reached an agreement and a clear intention of both parties to sign a new contract today, this cannot happen because of financial obstacles (Spanish Laliga) regulations” the club posted.
Messi has spent all his life in Barcelona since he was a child. He has set unbreakable reputation and multiple records for himself and for the club as well.
The statement continued “as a result of this situation Messi shall not be staying on at FC Barcelona. Both parties deeply regret that the wishes of the player and the club will ultimately not be fulfilled. FC Barcelona wholeheartedly expresses its gratitude to the player for his contributions to the aggrandisement of the club and wishes him all the very best for the future in his personal and professional life” the statement ended.
