
Lithuania has become the third country in the world to recognize Russia’s actions in Ukraine as genocide.
Lawmakers unanimously adopted a resolution, recognizing the actions of Russian Federation in Ukraine to be genocidal. There was an applause from Lithuanian lawmakers after they all agreed Russian soldiers committed genocide in Ukraine.
Estonia was the first country to recognize Russia’s actions in Ukraine as genocide followed by Canada. Read more

Lithuanian speaker Viktorija Cmilyte-Nielson posted on her twitter page saying “Following the emotional address by Vice Speaker Olena Kondratiuk, @LRSeimas unanimously approved the resolution on condemning the crimes of Russia that constitute genocide against Ukrainians and calling for special criminal tribunal”

Russian soldiers have been accused of raping Ukrainian women and children, and killing them in the process. Multiple cases of rape and mass murder of civilians were reported in Mariupol, Irpin, Bucha and some other Ukrainian cities.
