Andre Rozier, Commey’s trainer believe he still has what it takes to be a world champion. According to him, he didn’t want him to lose his reputation and diligence so he encouraged him to continue the fight even when Lomachenko dropped him at tye 7th round.
“Lomachenko is a great champion and when he signaled the light to stop him, for me to take his pride and dignity away would have been a horrible thing to do. I told Richard to get up and let’s get it together, try not to make any mistake and keep working and you see he did go the entire 12 rounds and he fought harder” he said.
Lomachenko revealed this fight was a door opener and his win is a prove he can equally beat any world champion, and he’s very ready for any fight.
