
A Nigerian man known as Kingsley Essien trafficked his wife to Mali to engage in prostitution and sold his son for N600,000 which is approximately $1,500.
Kingsley Essien who is 36years allegedly sold his two year old son. His wife said she returned only to discover that her husband also sold their lovely son.
She later rushed and reported the tragic news to Nigerian Ogun Police Command. She told the police her husband told her of getting her a job in Bamako, Mali. But on arrival, she noticed she had been sold to a human trafficking cartel. Daily Trust disclosed.

Spokesperson of Ogun Police Command Obimbola Oyeyemi said “while in Mali, she was forced into prostitution but later found her way to Nigerian Embassy in Bamako where she was assisted to Nigeria. On getting to Nigeria, she discovered that her two year old son in care of her husband was nowhere to be found” Oyeyemi narrates, quoting the lady.

Kingsley Essien was transferred to anti-human trafficking and child labour unit after admitting to committing the crime. Investigations are currently ongoing to apprehend the buyer of the two year old son.
“On interrogation, the suspect confessed to have committed the crime, he confessed further that he sold the two year old to somebody at the rate of N600,000” Oyeyemi revealed.
