Marine officer Lt Col Scheller jailed after demanding accountability from senior officials.
Outspoken Marine officer Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller weeks ago made a video after American troops withdrawal from Afghanistan. In the video, Scheller heavily criticized senior leaders in the force for the explosion in Afghanistan that killed civilians. U.S military had earlier admitted to have done a ‘mistake’ after a press briefing. Lt. Col Scheller said he was willing to throw away his 17years of service in a video that has gone viral on social media.
“I have been fighting for 17years. I am willing to throw all away to say to my senior leaders. I demand accountability. The reason people are so upset right now is not because the Marine let someone down. Service members always rose to the occasions and do extraordinary things. People are upset because they’re seeing leaders let them down and none of them are raising their hands and accepting accountability” the Marine officer noted. Reports that he has since released several videos ‘generating praise and controversy while drawing the ire of military leadership. Eventually, he was told by superiors to stop posting to social media altogether, an order he immediately ignored by posting about the gag order ” Foxnews cited.
“What happens when all you do is speak truth and no one wants to hear it. But they can probably stop listening because I’m crazy right” he posted on social media.
He is currently in a pre trial confinement, spokesperson for Training and Education Command revealed.
