Several media outlets are reporting that Facebook’s parent company, Meta and Mark Zuckerberg will fire nearly 12,000 employees whose skills are no more needed. It has also been reported that lots of these employees have been underperforming all these years, and its time the company show them the exit.

The Meta CEO earlier hinted of freezing employment or better still slimming down the number. In a recent earnings call, Mark Zuckerberg warned of possible future layoffs and asked employees to up their games.
“Our plan is to steadily reduce headcount growth. Many teams are going to shrink so we can shift our energy to other areas” the CEO said
