Kylian Mbappe and Karim Benzema score against Spain to give France UEFA Nations League title win
PSG forward Mbappe and Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema, who also doubles to be the Captain for France National team scored Spain to win UEFA Nations League.
The French team came from behind to win the title. Spain scored a leading goal but late goals from Mbappe and Benzema seals and did the magic for the French team.
Deschamps, Senior Coach for the French team expressed his satisfactions but revealed the French team needs to do more work to up their game
“We stopped playing after 20 minutes and you can’t do that against Spain. Our system, and they way we operate in it, still needs improvement” he said
He also praised Benzema as a ‘vital player’ to the French team.
“Karim is a vital player to us and he proved it in these two games. He has obvious qualities and fierce will to win. Its something he transmits to other players. I’m happy for him. He was very important to us in winning this Nations League” Deschamps said.
Mbappe’s 80th minutes goal was said to he an offside goal but was later considered.

“it was a dream night from a personal and a team standpoint. I really wanted to win a trophy with France. It wasn’t easy and we showed the strength of character of this team. We never give up. Its a sign of great teams to never panic and be patient. We managed to score the two goals. We’re going to make the most of it and prepare for the World Cup and go and win it” Benzema told M6.
