Military officer shot dead by armed robbers on Prang-Kintampo road
Military officer has been killed after armed robbers opened fire and shot him. DSP Awiadem confirmed the sad news to JoyNews’s Annass Sabit on Friday evening. According to him, the soldier who was in uniform met his untimely death when he chanced on an armed robbery incident. He revealed that the armed robbers suspected danger when they noticed he was in uniform and he was asked to step out from his car.
The tragic incident occurred on Friday May 21 around 9pm near Abease. He pleaded mecy but when he noticed it wasn’t working, he took to his heels. He was chased and eventually killed by one of them before they fled into the bush.
He pleaded with them and in the process, he decided to run away, they chased him, caught him and eventually one of them shot and killed him before they fled into the bush DSP Eric Awiaden detailed.
He also revealed that, the police was informed and by the time they reached, Sgt Odei Job Kwame was in a pool of blood.
He was on his way to Yeji, his hometown when this tragic incident happened. He was only 40years
