Oprah Winfrey’s father died at 88

Oprah Winfrey is grieving the loss of her father, Vernon Winfrey, who passed on Friday. He was 88.

Oprah Winfrey took to Instagram on Saturday to share the miserable news. The reason for death isn’t known as of now, however it’s been realized that Vernon had been sick for quite a while. The 68-year-old news tycoon honored her dad by reposting the video of the unexpected assembling she tossed for him on the Fourth of July.
She captioned the post, “Under seven days prior we respected my dad in his own terrace. My companion and gospel vocalist Wintley Phipps showed respect to him with tune. He FELT the adoration and delighted in it until he could never again talk.”
“Recently with family encompassing his bedside I had the consecrated distinction of seeing the man answerable for my life, take his final gasp,” she proceeded. “We could feel Peace go into the room at his passing. That Peace actually stands. Everything is great. Much thanks to you for your requests and great contemplations 🙏🏾.”
Recently, Oprah shared that she surprised her dad with a unique social event of his nearest loved ones. In a video posted on her Instagram – – and shot by her dearest friend Gayle King – – Oprah advises her devotees that she believed the opportunity should praise her debilitated dad, while he was as yet ready to appreciate it.
“In this way, I’ve been arranging a terrace grill that is in excess of a patio grill, it’s for Vernon Winfrey Appreciation Day,” the famous host told the camera as King recorded her as she remained before a flag that read, “Vernon Winfrey Appreciation Day.”

Vernon was a hair stylist and business man in Nashville. He claimed Winfrey Barber and Beauty Shop for over 50 years. Oprah’s mother, Vernita Lee, passed on in 2018. She was 83.
