Pay more tax if you want Ghana fixed – Gabby

According to Gabby Otchere Darko, many Ghanaians want things to be fixed but they are not ready to pay taxes

Gabby Otchere Darko has come under critism after his comments.

According to him, many Ghanaians are not ready to pay more taxes but they want the country to be fixed. The professional Lawyer who is also co founder of the Danquah institute (Think Tank) tweeted around 3:56am, November 22.

“Ghana’s development paradox. You say you want the country fixed. Yet, you’re against raising revenue to get it fixed. Motives matter” he tweeted

His comment came days after the introduction of some ‘killer’ taxes as defined by many Ghanaians. One of the taxes introduced was the e-levy or the electronic transaction tax. Some Ghanaians are not happy with his statement as many describe the taxes read by Financial Minister, Ken Ofori Atta to be ‘ridiculously wicked’

“No one is against the payment of tax. We are only asking you to pin point at what you have done for us with the taxes you have generated for the last five years” one tweeted user @LawerFranklin replied Gabby.
