The Russian President made his statements in a latest video published by Russian government.
“Western countries are only taking unfriendly economic actions against our country but leaders of major NATO countries are making aggressive statements about our country so I order to move Russia’s deference forces to a special regime of duty” Putin said.
Responding to his threats, NATO says it will not hesitate to respond with full force because they have a responsibility to protect every NATO member state.

Ukraine had already pledged allegiance to NATO, something Vladimir Putin has opposed.
