Her Majesty has today February 6 marked 70years she acceded the throne, following the demise of her loving father, King George VI.

Her Majesty was proclaimed Queen in the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth in the early hours of 6 January February 1952.

Tributes have been pouring in for Her Majesty as she marks this special milestone.

There was a tribute from the White House two hour ago as Americans pay homage to the Queen.

“Today we honour her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the historic occasion of her Platinum Jubilee. Throughout the past 70years, she has strengthened the ties of friendship, shared ideas and faith in democracy that forever unite our countries” White House posted on their official twitter page.

Canada also sent a message three hours ago to celebrate her reign and as head of state. Watch video below

Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau also sent his tribute.

“70 years ago today, Queen Elizabeth II acceded to the throne and has since offered steadfast leadership in times of change, hardship or uncertainty. Today as we celebrate Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee, Sophie and I are sending her our warmest wishes” he also posted on twitter
