Russian General Prosecutor’s office demanded that, the regulator restricts the Google News Service until further notice.
The statement said Google News service “provided access to numerous publications and materials that contain false information about the cause of the special military operation on Ukrainian territory”
Russian government blocked several media houses which restricts them from reporting on the invasion of Ukraine. Google weeks ago blocked some Russian state media outlets on its YouTube platform.
