Sadio Mane among 4 African players nominated for Ballon d’Or 2022

Senegalese international and Bayern Munich striker Sadio Mane, including three other African footballers have been nominated for Ballon d’Or 2022
Bayern Munich striker Sadio Mane made ot to the list of the 2022 Ballon d’Or nominees.
Include him is other three players, his friend and former colleague, Mo Salah who hails from Egypt. The other players include Riyad Mahrez and Sebastian Haller.

Sadio Mane played 67 games for club and country, of which he scored 33goals with four assists.

With these milestone, many of his fans back home and abroad believe he deserves this spot, and could win. They also believe Sadio Mane will make it amongst the best three. He made it 4th on the list in 2019. Perhaps that could change this year.
Mo Salah, Karim Benzema and few other players are his key contenders but his performance has been outstanding and he’s likely to make it.

Maybe an African player winning it this time could will change that narrative. Only one African player, George Weah who is now president of Liberia was crowned a Ballon d’Or winner in the 90s.
