Sadio Mane beat Mendy and Mo Salah to win African footballer of the year (Video)

The Senegalese international and Bayern Munich striker have been officially crowned African footballer of the year

Mo Salah of Liverpool, Edouard Mendy of Chelsea and Sadio Mane of Bayern Munich were all shortlisted for CAF Men’s African footballer of the year award.

He secured the highest votes ahead of the Egyptian king Mo Salah, who happens to be his friend and former team mate and his countryman Edouard Mendy.

He truly worked and deserves this award. Sadio Mane carried the Senegalese team right from the start of Afcon2021 and finished splendidly

It’s obvious after their tremendous efforts shown at the Afcon2021 in Cameroon months ago.
