Sarkodie must apologize for smoking cigar – CSOs

The Ghana Civil Society Organizations, CSOs have expressed their unhappiness after rapper Sarkodie posted a picture of him smoking cigar on social media.
The rapper posted four pictures of himself smoking cigar on July 10 to mark and celebrate his birthday. But according to them, that is a very bad precedent to exhibit and demand that the rapper apologize with immediate effect.
“we are very disappointed in Sarkodie for circulating pictures of himself smoking a cigar on social media without considering the negative influence this singular act stands to have on the public, especially the youth, most of who consider him as their role model. We are by this statement calling on the singer to render an apology to all Ghanaians, especially the youth for such a distasteful act that has the propensity of changing the behaviour of our youth from good to bad and pledge to support and promote health and wellbeing of all” the statement emphasized.
This post from the star musician has caused controversy on social media. Some have asked for his arrest. “Must be arrested not apologize, no one is above the law. If it was ordinary citizens by now soldiers, police, national security will witch hunt” one Twitter user expressed. But to another user, it’s of no big deal
“They should commot for there, televisions dey show occult, lotto and mtn momo fraud ads on tv buh the authorities are quite” one Sir Alby said.
