■ Sarkodie says e-levy is not bad
Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie says E-levy is not bad. The musician made his opinion known after a fervent fan asked him on twitter. According to the fan (Tsaatse Buertey), all his colleagues have been sharing their views on the matter but he has been mute for sometime now.
“Sarkodie, please I want to know what you think about the e-levy. You have been quiet on it your paddies are speaking their minds oo”

This was the question that triggered his response and why he thinks it’s not bad. According to him taxes are good if those paying it are benefiting from it. He says he travels a lot and out there he pays a lot of tax but he benefits from it because the government use the tax he pays to create avenues to make money.
“I pay a lot of taxes outside and I don’t complain because I’m using avenues they made available to make money (it’s only right) it’s not same here and that’s why we complain not because the e-levy is bad. When you broke, a harmless good morning can sound like a tease” he said.
