Sudan coup leader, General Burhan place Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok under house arrest after the military besiege his home

Military coup underway in Sudan after Sudanese officials ransacked the home of Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok and other government officials. Abdalla Hamdok is currently under house arrest.
Reports that Sudanese security forces have arrested government officials of Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok’s administration and his home is currently surrounded by the military. The home of minister of Industry, Ibrahim al Sheikh is also reported to have been raided hours ago. Military and civilian groups have been sharing power since the overthrow of President Omar al-Bashir.
But there have been tensions for months after a coup attempt. They have blamed the attempted coup on loyalists of Omar al-Bashir.
