Today , Americans remember nearly 3000 people killed in world’s worst terrorist attack, 9/11. Islamic terrorists, led by Osama Bin Laden attacked the Twin Towers with high war planes, killing 2,977 people. September 11, 2001 is considered as one of the worst days in world history.
“One of the worst days in America’s history saw some of the bravest acts in American’s history. We will always honor the heroes of 9/11. And here at this hallowed place, we pledge that we will never forget their sacrifice” words of the President who was in power when the tragic incident happened in 2001, President George W. Bush said in 2008.
20years on after that Islamic terror attack, Taliban seized power in Afghanistan making legitimate President Ashrah Ghani to flee, after America said it was going to retreat. Taliban is now in full control as they announced interim government to be in charge of affairs, appointing officials, including two top officials, who are on U.S FBI and United Nations Blacklist. Speaking to Americans yesterday, President Biden said the only thing that kept Americans all these years was unity.
Former President of the United States, Barrack Obama said Americans should never forget that day and to never take them for granted.
“Let’s never forget that day, and let’s never take them for granted” the President said, remembering the tragic incident. It was during his tenure that America killed Osama Bin Laden in 2011, the terrorist who masterminded the attack. Read statement below
