Car giant company Toyota has released a statement indicating it has decided to end production in Russia
The car maker in a statement said it has stopped production at it’s Saint Petersburg plant and has released workers off their duties. Several companies have left the country since the beginning of Russia Ukraine war.
Toyota also revealed how it suspended production in March just a month after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine thinking things would be back to normal but that could not happen after six months. Unfortunately, the company “have not been able to resume normal activities and see no indication that we can restart in the future” the statement said.
The car maker giant also thanked workers for being loyal to the brand all these years and pledged to support them in “assistance for re-employment, re-skilling and well being, including financial support above legal requirements”
